Sea Island Health Care Plan - This Plan is available to full-time employees with three months of continuous service (no waiting period for salaried employees). This is a comprehensive medical plan with two PPO deductible plan options and an indemnity plan option. Coverage is available as employee, employee + spouse, employee + children and family. Once the applicable out of pocket limits are met, the plan pays 100% of covered expenses. Each covered employee and their eligible dependents have a $1,000,000 lifetime maximum medical benefit inclusive of prescriptions. Premiums for this coverage are payroll deducted.

All plans include a wellness benefit that cover up to $400 every year for routine physical examinations, exercise and weight loss programs and smoking cessation for covered employees and their spouses. Pap Smears, Mammograms and PSA tests for covered employees and eligible spouses are paid 100% by the wellness plan each year.

Also included in the Health Care Plan is a Vision Benefit which covers routine eye exams up to $50.00 per visit. Glasses, frames and contact lenses are covered at 50%. The benefit maximum is $250 every 2 years for exam and other covered services.  Top  

Sea Island Dental Care Plan - This plan is available to full-time employees with three months of continuous service (no waiting for salaried employees). Coverage is available as employee, employee + spouse, employee + children and family. The plan covers routine dentistry such as cleaning, crowns, root canals, partials and dentures to name a few. The deductible is $300 per year, per covered employee and eligible dependents. Two routine cleanings per year, separated by six months, and one set of X-rays are covered 100% (this does not apply toward the $300 deductible). Premiums for this coverage are payroll deducted.  Top  

Prescription Plan - Employees are automatically enrolled in the prescription drug plan if they are covered under the Sea Island health Care Plan. Co-pays for prescriptions are $10 for generic, $30 for brand name drugs on formulary listing and $60 for drugs that are not listed on formulary. Mail order co-payments for a 90 day supply are $20 for generic drugs, $60 for brand name drugs on formulary listing and $120 for drugs not listed on the formulary. There is no deductible to be met for this benefit.  Top  

Starbridge Sickness and Accident Plan - Employees in part-time positions are eligible to purchase a limited benefit medical plan which provides illness, accident and prescription coverage. Also offered through this Plan are optional dental and vision coverages. Coverage is available for employees and their eligible dependents. The premiums for this insurance are payroll deducted.  Top  

Basic Life Insurance - Full-time employees and their covered dependents are provided with life insurance at no cost, after three months of continuous service (no waiting period for salaried employees). Employee’s coverage is equal to two times their annual earnings up to $600,000. Spouses (cannot exceed 50% of the employee's amount) and dependent children (4 days to age 20; to age 26, if a full-time student) are covered for $5,000.  Top  

Supplemental Life Insurance - Full-time employees who have basic life insurance have the option of increasing their coverage by purchasing supplemental insurance. Employees may purchase additional amounts in increments of $10,000, subject to a maximum combined limit of $600,000, basic and supplemental life insurance. Premiums for this coverage vary according to age and purchase amount and are payroll deducted.  Top  

Short-term Disability - Full-time employees who work 1250 hours with one year of continuous service are eligible for this benefit. This benefit provides 60% of pay for employees who are disabled and who have provided satisfactory proof of disability from their physician. Payment begins on the eighth day of disability and continues for up to 90 days. There is no premium charge for this benefit.  Top  

Long-term Disability - This plan is available to full-time employees with one year of continuous service. This benefit provides 66 2/3% of pay for employees who are totally disabled after satisfying a 90 day elimination period. Eligible employees must submit satisfactory proof of total disability to the insurance carrier for approval of benefits. When received, however, this benefit is non-taxable. There is a small employee premium contribution for this benefit which is payroll deducted.  Top  

Sea Island Company Retirement Plan - The retirement plan offers employees a defined benefit plan for retirement. This simply means that employees do not contribute to this plan; it is paid 100% by the company. To participate in this plan, employees must be 21 years of age and work at least 1,000 hours in any consecutive twelve-month period. You become vested in the plan after working 1,000 hours or more for five years. The retirement benefit is based on the highest 60 consecutive months of pay and length of service.  Top  

Sea Island Company 401 (k) Savings Plan - This plan is available to employees who are 21 years of age and have completed one year of service with at least 1,000 hours worked. The plan enables employees to save for retirement through pretax contributions by automatic payroll deduction. Employees can contribute up to 100% of annual pay (up to the annual maximum deferral amount). The company matches $.25 on the $1 up to 6% of pay for vested employees.  Unless otherwise specified, employees are automatically enrolled in this plan at 2% of pay once they meet the eligibility requirements.  Top  

Long Term Care Insurance- Full-time and part-time employees and certain family members can enroll in this plan. The need for long-term care can place enormous financial burden on families. This type of care includes nursing and support services that a person may need to perform everyday activities. Premiums for this insurance are payroll deducted.  Top  

Flexible Spending Accounts - There are two types of accounts available: a Medical Spending Account and a Dependent Care Spending Account. Full-time employees are eligible to enroll in the medical spending account during the annual open enrollment period, after one year of continuous service. Part-time or full-time employees may enroll in the dependent care spending account immediately upon hire. Both accounts can help you save tax dollars on eligible medical and dependent care expenses, because the money contributed is deducted from weekly pay before taxes.  Top  

Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D Insurance )- Full-time employees are provided with AD&D insurance after three months of continuous service (no waiting period for salaried employees). Employee's coverage is equal to two times their annual earnings up to $600,000. AD&D insurance pays the beneficiary(ies) a benefit in the event of the employee's accidental death or if an employee suffers certain injuries as a result of a qualifying accident.  Top  

Employee Assistance Program (EAP) - Offers confidential and professional counseling and crisis intervention services for full time employees and their family members. The EAP also offers wellness education, coaching and referral services for health issues such as weight management, smoking cessation, fitness and exercise, asthma and diabetes, to name a few.  There is no cost to employees for this benefit.  Top  

Child Care - Active employees are eligible to enroll their dependent children at the Sea Island Company Child Development Center. The core program offers developmentally appropriate learning environments and care for infants through preschool-school age children. “School's Out”, “Summer Camp” and a “Back-Up” programs are also available. Wellness Leave - The Company provides paid wellness leave for all full-time exempt and non-exempt employees who are scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week.  Wellness leave is to be used for non-work related illness or injury and is intended for the sickness or medical appointments of the employee or covered dependent(s).  Eligible employees accrue wellness leave from the date of hire for a maximum of 6 days or 48 hours per year.  Eligible employees will earn wellness leave for each hour paid up to a maximum of 1/2 day per month.  Top  

Holiday Pay - Sea Island Company recognizes 9 paid holiday each year for full time employees:

Non-exempt full-time employees working on observed holidays will receive holiday pay as additional pay in the work week in which the holiday occurs.  Salaried exempt employees who are scheduled to work on a holiday will be able to take a "comp" day within 30 days of the observed holiday pending approval from their respective leader.  Top
